Since its inception in 2023, the B Art exhibition has become an annual celebration of creativity, culture, and cross-border artistic collaboration. Every year, the château opens its doors to a new constellation of artists, each bringing their own voice and vision to this special venue nestled in the French countryside.
Following the great success of the 2023 and 2024 editions, B Art 2025 continues the tradition of showcasing a diverse range of contemporary works—paintings, sculptures, installations, and more. Visitors can meet the artists in person, explore their stories, and immerse themselves in the evolving dialogue between Nordic and French artistic expression.

Klaus Bentin and Søren Rasmussen, owners of Château de Gué aux Biches, in partnership with the gallerist Henrik Dencker from Art Gallery Dencker+Schneider in Berlin, are organizing an artists' residence and contemporary art exhibition in September in Bagnoles de l’Orne, Normandy.
This exhibition will showcase artworks created on-site and other pieces coming directly from Denmark. Six Danish artists have been invited to work and exhibit at Château du Gué aux Biches. The exhibition will also be extended to the Animation and Congress Center (Salle du Roi Arthur) and the Tourist Office.
B Art means “art in Bagnoles in week 38” is organized by the Dane Henrik Dencker, who has been running a gallery in Berlin for 10 years.
With theB Art event "The objective is to give the opportunity to local, national and European artists to discover their art." says Klaus Bentin, and Søren Rasmussen adds "We are happy to be associated with this event and to contribute to the cultural program of Bagnoles de l'Orne".
"We are delighted that the project is supported by the city of Bagnoles de l'Orne. And I am very happy that Bagnoles de l'Orne Tourisme is associated with this event with an extension of the exhibition to the entertainment and congresses and at the Tourist Office", he adds.
In the short term, the objective is to develop the concept in 2024 and to invite local artists to participate in a growing event.
Henrik Dencker is a versatile pop art artist who is active throughout Denmark and his a gallery in Berlin. His talented work spans several artistic disciplines, including painting, ceramics and silk printing. Dencker is also a committed writer and often combines his visual and literary skills to create works that explore - and challenge - the boundaries of pop culture. Dencker’s art is known for its vibrant color palette and sharp social commentary, which has made him a significant figure in modern art.
Lisbeth Lunda is a figurative artist who creates works that both challenge and inspire. Her work explores human emotions and relationships through colors, shapes and textures, and her approach to art is deeply personal, driven by a desire to communicate what is often difficult to put into words.
The series ICONs, painted in 2023 and 2024, pays tribute to women who have lost something – life or opportunity – simply because they were women. In 2025, she began a new series, Female Thoughts, which explores the inner existential thoughts and feelings that people experience in an increasingly chaotic and intangible world.
Paper is my favorite material.
Based on my career in the fashion world, I transform my experiences into an artistic expression without the functional requirements of clothes. Structures, patterns, colors and dimensions are mixed. A constant search for new ways to use the material.
The starting point for Helle Mathiasen is color and shapes, as expressions of experiences, dreams and stories. The visual expression ranges from recognizable figurative forms to color and shape abstractions. Helle has been a performing visual artist for 40 years. She is a trained visual arts teacher and has taught drawing and painting techniques for many years.
Helle has exhibited in Denmark and internationally in Singapore, London and Paris.
B Art will become an international art fair in 2027 with more and new locations in Bagnoles.
